The Jonx are playing Friday, April 10, at Rudyard’s British Pub, with the Gary, of Austin, TX.

The Gary is a new project from Trey Pool of Sad Like Crazy. The best way to describe them is that they sound like ’90s indie rock. If you like Superchunk, Silkworm, Sebadoh or other bands from that decade that begin with the letter S, you will probably enjoy them. Honestly, they are pretty damn solid for a band that hasn’t even been together a whole year. Hear them at:

In case you care, we are continuing to grind through the process of making our third full-length, which we suspect is going to be called Vocabularian Herds. That is an actual true piece of information, people. It looks like we’re done arguing over track order, so the next step is mastering. As usual, we’ll be doing a few of these songs on Friday.
