Saturday, February 28- The Jonx in Austin

Dear Austin friends,

I just wanted to let you know that the Jonx are playing in Austin this Saturday evening. So if you’re not doing anything, y’know. . .

Details:

Sach x Sachwest!
Saturday, February 28
United States Art Authority (29th and Guadalupe, conveniently located next door to Spider House)
Doors at 6 PM, bands at 7
This is a benefit show, in that it benefits everyone attending by not charging them admission. In other words: FREE

We’ll be playing some songs from the new record (working title- “Do I dare to eat The Jonx?*”) that we are THIS CLOSE to being done mixing. I will give you a completely objective opinion: they are good.

Also playing, in this order:

Butcher Bear
The Corndawg
The Jonx (that would be us)
Strong Silent Type
Woodgrain
Fingaar Bangaar
Chili Cold Blood

Chili Cold Blood is headlining. So that would mean we’re playing third, which I guess would put us on around. . . I’m gonna say somewhere between 8:30 and 10.

Playing right before us is The Corndawg, aka Jonny Corndawg. The Corndawg is from Nashville, and boy is he something else. I highly recommend that you check him out. Click on his name above.

Many of these, including Strong Silent Type and Woodgrain, are excellent and very new local bands, and they have myspaces and whatnot, in case you would like a preview.

Perhaps you are still undecided. Let me break it down for you:

PRO:
- Free
- Cheap beer
- Good location (i.e. lots of stuff to do if you get bored)
- The Jonx
- The Corndawg
- Other good bands

CON (potential):
- Loud
- Conflicts with preexisting plans
- Forbidden by post-surgery medical instructions
- You hate fun

There you have it- the decision is yours.

Danny
